Detox Journal – The Importance of Having One



If you are planning on undergoing a body detoxification then it would be beneficial for you to have a detox journal where you can write down all of your thoughts from the very beginning of the process. It need not be extra special and you can pretty much use your average notebook, scrap pieces of paper that are kept in a binder or if you feel inclined to, a journal that you made your self. The important thing here is that you’re comfortable with writing in it and that you keep notes of all the experiences and changes that you undergo during the detoxification process itself.

But what will you jot down on your detox journal? Well, you could write down some of the steps that you have taken whilst in the process of detoxification. You can also make note of the food that you consume and those that you are avoiding. But is it important to keep a detox journal? Whilst some people do not really bother with it, for those who are looking at the process as a way of renewing themselves it certainly is important. It would be beneficial to your journey towards becoming a healthier person. Simply writing down all the different steps that you have taken along with the things that challenged you and how you were able to get past them would provide you with great insight into your own self. Detoxification need not be something that you do purely for vanity. It should help you remember all the different things that you have done and learned along the way. There are always lessons to take away in every new experience that you get the chance to take part in.

Besides potentially significant lessons, you would also be able to chronicle the things that worked for you and those that didn’t. This way, if you are to do detoxification again, you are already well aware of the things that you need to avoid and those that you need to do more of. Another good reason to start a detox journal is to help you sort through all the different mood swings and emotions that you will eventually encounter. Doing so would only help you grow emotionally and learn how to handle yourself better during such situations. Having a journal to look back on will definitely be very helpful in the future as well.
